my name is cynthia ribbons, and i've found myself in a difficult financial situation.

after finishing the first year of my course, i've been left without financial assistance until the next academic year (starting in late august).
i'm unemployed, and with my worsening health (chronic fatigue being a major obstacle), i fear that i won't be able to be employed for a while.
i don't get disability benefits, because the healthcare system has failed me and continues to fail me, and i can't get state welfare, due to a false benefit overpayment claim from the government that i didn't have the resources to dispute leaving me with over £1,000 in debt.

if my situation doesn't improve, i will already not be able to pay my rent and bills next month. i don't have much in the way of a safety net. i don't have a family to fall back on. i don't know anyone in my city. i don't know what would happen.

i'm doing what i can to raise enough money to get me through this summer. i've considered opening commissions, but i don't have a robust portfolio to show to clients, and with my current health, i'm not sure that clients could rely on me to deliver on time.

that's why i've spent the last few days tirelessly preparing this website. up to this point, i was focused on my studies and recovering from years of abuse. but circumstances have forced my hand in a way that i couldn't possibly have been prepared for.

so i ask you kindly: if you can spare me some money, please donate! anything helps. each month i will need to raise £500 to cover rent, bills and food. after august, i will have financial assistance from my college, and hopefully i'll be able to get more support in the meantime.
