my name is cynthia ribbons, and i've found myself in a difficult financial situation.
after finishing the first year of my course, i've been left without a source of income until the next academic year, starting in late august. i'm unemployed, and with my worsening health, i fear that i won't be able to be employed for quite a while. i don't get disability benefits, because the healthcare system has failed me and continues to fail me; and due to a benefit overpayment leaving me with over £1,000 in debt, through no fault of my own, regular benefits won't be enough to cover my cost of living.
i'm doing what i can to raise enough money to get me through this summer. i've considered opening commissions, but i don't have a robust portfolio to show to clients, and it would be my first time taking commissions. (if you have any suggestions, let me know!)
that's why i spent the last few days preparing this website. up to this point, i was focused on my studies and recovering from years of abuse. but circumstances have forced my hand in a way that i couldn't possibly have been prepared for.
so i ask you kindly: if you can spare me some money, please donate!
anything helps. each month i will need to raise £300 to cover rent.
after august, i will have financial assistance from my college, and hopefully then i'll be able to get more support.
